Sunday, August 22 is a Big Day!

• Reception for Mary Sinclair following worship.

Mark your calendars.  Sunday, August 22 is Mary Sinclair's last Sunday with us.  We will have a reception in her honor after church.  Let's celebrate Mary and her wonderful music ministry at Faith Des Peres!

On the 22nd we'll also bless the backpacks and satchels of all the kids, adults and teachers going back to school.  Since learning is a life-long process, we also invite anyone and everyone to bring their laptop case, briefcase or what have you to church this day to receive a blessing.  Start your "year" off right with God at your side!

And our Sunday School kicks off a new program year.  Kids, invite your friends to join us and get ready for a great year ahead!

End of Summer Party This Friday

The "Just For the Fun of It" group invites you to an end-of-summer party at the Davis' home on Friday, August 20 at 7:00 pm.  Sandwiches will be provided.  Please bring a snack or goodie to share.  Bring your own beverage and wear your swimsuit if you want to swim.  A lifeguard will be on duty.  All members and friends of the church are welcome.  Children, too!  Sign up by e-mailing us at adminasst@faithdesperes.org.  Thanks and we hope to see you there!

Sunday Worship 10:30 am

This Sunday, July 25, the topic is prayer.  When the disciples asked Jesus how to pray, he taught them the Lord's Prayer.  But, he also told them that whatever they ask for, they will receive.  Really?  I know not all of my prayers have been answered.  How about your prayers?  If you've ever had questions about prayer, this is the Sunday for you.  I hope to see you Sunday!

Please note that worship on August 1 will be at the Old Meeting House.
