Sunday Morning Worship, 10:30 am

Last week was the first Sunday in Lent and we heard that Lent, which means "spring", is a good opportunity to do some spring cleaning of our souls in preparation for Easter Sunday.  After all, the goal of Lent has always been to prepare people for Easter.  During Lent, we'll visit some of the revolutionary events that led Jesus to Jerusalem and contributed to his death and resurrection.  This week, we'll journey to Jesus' lament over Jerusalem where he calls Herod a fox and brushes off the Pharisees' warnings that Herod is out to get him.  We'll learn why this confrontation pushed the envelope, how it led up to Good Friday, and what it has to do with us.  Come, listen, and learn.  See you Sunday at 10:30!

Movie Night Tonight!

Anyone can come to Movie Night tonight at 7 pm in the Gathering Space.  Bring food and drinks to share!  The movie is the highly acclaimed film "Doubt".  (For more on Doubt, check out the church blog.)  This event is sponsored by the Just for the Fun of It committee.  The next event is an adult Easter Egg Hunt on March 26.  Look for more information about that soon.  And, if you have an idea for a future "just for the fun of it" event, let Terry Baker, Elizabeth Pribor or Kathy Sherrick know.
