Your help is needed

Faith Des Peres is working throughout the month of July to make a number of improvements to our church building and grounds.  Volunteers are needed to help.  You may work at times of your choosing – days or evenings.  This week we particularly need help with painting interior walls; and there are always special cleaning projects that would help to move the work along.  Any time that you are able to give would be greatly appreciated.

If you would like to work with a group, we have volunteers coming this Saturday, July 13, between 9 am and 5 pm to paint.

Music in worship for July

July 21 - Calling all tenors and basses of the congregation!  You are invited to provide the special music today.  Our tenor and bass section leaders and choir members will assist.  Just come at 10:00 ready to sing a familiar hymn.  (Sopranos and altos, you’ll get your turn in August).

July 28 - The choir will sing If You Search with All Your Heart.  The anthem is based upon Jeremiah 29:11-13.

In cooperation with the Presbyterian Foundation/Presbyterian Mission Exchange, Faith Des Peres now offers online giving for anyone who wants to make payments to the annual stewardship campaign and/or the capital campaign electronically.  Electronic payments are also accepted for special offerings like One Great Hour of Sharing, Christmas giving, Janet Boyer Music Fund, and other designated gifts. 

When you click on the "Give Now" button below or go to the church’s website and click on the “Give Now” button there, you will be taken to a secure website of the Presbyterian Foundation/Presbyterian Mission Exchange.  Here, you can fill-out a form that allows you to give to the church using a credit card, or you may set-up EFT payments from your bank account.  The church accepts one-time donations or recurring gifts.  There is no charge for you to use this service.

Worship this Sunday at our old stone church!

In keeping with tradition, our worship over the 4th of July Weekend will be held at the Old Meeting House on Geyer Road.  Join us Sunday at 10:30 a.m.  Church member Ron Scott will preach and lead worship and we will sing some of the congregation’s favorite hymns as reported in the survey taken last year.  Invite friends!

The Old Meeting House is about 1 mile south of Clayton Road.  The historic building was constructed in 1834!  The service will be casual and family-friendly.  Parking is available along side streets near the church.  Plenty of cool AC but no bathrooms in the one-room church so plan ahead.  Sunday School and Nursery Care will not meet on this Sunday.  A special thank you to Ron Scott for leading worship while Pastor Annie is on vacation.

If you would like to work with a group, we have volunteers coming this Saturday, July 6, between 9 am and 5 pm to clean walls; and volunteers coming on Saturday, July 13, between 9 am and 5 pm to paint.
